WET HAIR
After you take a nice shower or even after a relaxing swim in the pool, your hair is at its weakest when wet. So try to avoid brushing your hair when it's wet and tangled. Once it is dry, your hair is less prone to breakage. Better safe than sorry! But if you really have to brush your hair, try using the wide teeth combs for less tugging.

BRUSHING
When brushing your hair, try to be as gentle as possible. Using softer bristles like natural boar bristle is better for your hair, as faux bristles may be too harsh and inflexible causing it to tear and tug at your hair.
TRIM
Get your hair trimmed on a regular basis. The average time for trims would be roughly every six to eight weeks or more depending on your hair. Just make sure to watch your hair for split ends, if you do see one here and there, try using hair shears to snip off the ends to prevent them from splitting more.
Keep your hair game on point ladies! Don't give up because you have been suffering from split ends for too long, you just have to find the right solution! It definitely will not happen overnight, just give it time and soon enough you will have less and less split ends!
